I highly recommend this DVD. It is touching, but not in a maudlin way. I did read the book (bought 2 copies for family, in fact). I thought the movie was very well done.

Was actually better than expected because the book was not as fascinating. It was easy to tell which parts would come next though, because I read the book first, so it wasn't as interesting. I suggest reading the book AFTER the movie!

i seen it in 3d

Absolutely amazing and very thought provoking film, which provides you with one small boy's perspective on what awaits us in Heaven and how he shares that experience with his parents and the community they live in. This is a film that leaves you with time for discussion following your viewing. Allows you to gain an insight into why we believe, and at the same time at times has us rethinking about things we thought we may know and that perhaps we may not have the full perspective on said views of God, Jesus, Heaven and angels. Strongly recommended.

Better than I thought it would be, equipped with two lead actors who more than hold their own and give the story more depth and gravitas than if the roles had been left in the hands of lesser performers. It was good to see people of faith have legitimate struggles, doubts, and wounds that they needed to work through while their son explains that the hope that they have in their final Resting Place is real. Almost makes you forgive the poor renditions of the traditional Gospel songs...

I thought that I would be crying due to the nature of this movie, but I didn't shed one tear and was kind of let down by this movie. This movie had a lot of potential and the actors were fine, but this just fell flat for me.

This is a very good movie! I had tears in my eyes! I believe there's heaven but this just validates it even more! Also, Colton was so cute :-)!
