Too bad series was cancelled, I was kind of hooked onto it, even though I felt it had these flaws: the lead was too much of a pretty boy, the mixture of new knowledge with historical events and the required soap opera-ish side stories. However, overall, I enjoyed the series and am sorry it was cancelled. Very interesting depiction of the newly arrived Irish & freed Blacks in 1860's NYC.

Season two of Copper consists of thirteen episodes concluding the series. The main storyline involves a new Five Points (sixth ward) boss and his links to wealthy businessmen and politicos of Tammany Hall. Detectives Kevin Corcoran and Francis Maguire as well as businessman Robert Morehouse are at the center of investigations into the deadly and shady property deals in Five Points by the new sixth ward boss Brigadier General Brendan Donovan. Beyond that the episodes portray the squalid, tragic and alcohol filled lives of the coppers and Five Points residents. The final episode takes place right after the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln as Detective Corcoran, Dr. Matthew Freeman and Robert Morehouse journey to Virginia in hopes of capturing John Wilkes Booth.
