Mr. Wuffles and David Wiesner really tested my toddler's imagination. This book is a hoot!

Never has a feline been as terrifying as Mr. Wuffles. In truth, he really is just a curious housecat with a ton of playthings. The one toy that he is most interested in was not bought at the pet store. That is because it is not a toy at all.

Very imaginative children's book. I love the drawings and the expressions on Mr. Wuffles's face.

You just can't beat a David Wiesner book for quirkiness! I just love everything by this author! This latest book is no exception. If you are a cat lover the antics of the cat are a real hoot! The little space aliens are fabulous, as are the little insects that come to their rescue. Tho' wordless, the pictures explain the story very well. Entertaining book for all ages

Pure genius.

Packed with fascinating details, this sophisticated yet hilarious picture book is destined for multiple re-reads. Housecat Mr. Wuffles ignores his toys in favour of playing with a tiny metal spaceship…and terrorising the miniscule green aliens within! Though the story is almost wordless - the aliens speak in pictographs that are sure to tantalise code-loving children - the beautifully rendered illustrations ably capture the momentum of the miniature battle, which ramps up as the aliens seek aid from the local insects. Will they defeat the fearsome feline? Find out in this uniquely absorbing escapade from three-time Caldecott medalist David Wiesner.

Mr. Wuffles by David Wiesner Book Trailer

Published on Aug 5, 2013 In a near wordless masterpiece that could only have been devised by David Wiesner, a cat named Mr. Wuffles doesn't care about toy mice or toy goldfish. He's much more interested in playing with a little spaceship full of actual aliens—but the ship wasn't designed for this kind of rough treatment. Between motion sickness and damaged equipment, the aliens are in deep trouble. When the space visitors dodge the cat and take shelter behind the radiator to repair the damage, they make a host of insect friends. The result? A humorous exploration of cooperation between aliens and insects, and of the universal nature of communication involving symbols, "cave" paintings, and gestures of friendship.
